It's pretty sad to see it in this condition, but the memories of the place are great. I arrived at Crete in 1981, and the first two movies I saw there were For Your Eyes Only and Raiders Of The Lost Ark. I also saw plenty of USO shows that passed through there. And in spring of 1983 our drama class put on our school play on that stage, with me as the male lead.
