my second pair of finches...The White female is a product of the original colored male and white female, but with teardrops on both sides of cheeks... The male I bought at a PetShop near the local market...

@Basti711 It's a nice basket. I moved the nest yesterday that I bought them three weeks ago and placed a branch in front of it. It must be in an okay place because they are both in the nest a day later. So It's all good now :)

I think the orange feather on their cheek is a natural color... But, I'm definite the female has an (light) Orange beak... and the male a (bright) RED one....

thank also one more question my female has only one orange feather in her left cheek, JUST ONE. woulddat be considering hera male or can a female finch have an orange chee. well one feather at least

i think it's about 18 days more or less... I had mine laying after about a year from birth.. It might be that the cage is your probl;em or the nesting box or basket or the partner.. Lots of things you can consider ... Also , search some more info on google for finches.. thanks for watching and sharing....

@KaySkywalker I think it's called a wicker basket nest.. I bought it from a pet store (mostly sell fishes and birds) near the market place in our area.... I lived in the Philippines, so , I can't tell where or how you are going to buy it in your area.... sorry.
