Could this be done in a rib stitch where you yarn over then insert your hook either behind or in front of the "post" of each dc? I'm picturing a fabric that ends up being chevrons but looking like cable knitting, with a sort of relief pattern in it. Make sense?

@NASCARQueen9 If you're working from a pattern it should tell you what gauge you need

@ebgdae24frett I never knew they were referred to as club thumbs. I used to refer to Brent's (the author of these videos) thumbs as nubs. He used to work at a sandwich shop and accidentally sliced the tip of one of his thumbs of.....twice lol I told him he couldn't afford to lose anymore of his thumbs, so he needs to be more careful lol

How do you determine the number of stitches for the length of you're project?

BW: I have tried ripple many times, get frustrated and put it away for months. I'm only on my 3rd row, but it is much further than I've ever gotten before, THANKS to your video!!!

I love this!! :)
ok I have a question, why do you do a 2 chain double stitch decrease at the end of each row? thanks

The decrease makes it so that the piece stays the same width...if you didn't do the decrease, the piece would get larger by one stitch with every row.
