Childhood Cancer Awareness - Save the Children

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

-On average, 12,500 kids are diagnosed with cancer every year!
-Right now, this second, somewhere in America, there are 7 children fighting for their lives who won't live through the day.
-1 in every 330 children will be diagnosed with some form of cancer by age 19
-One out of every 5 children diagnosed with cancer will loose their battle
-3 out of every 5 children with cancer will have long term or late onset side effects
-Space research receives 13 BILLION a year in funding while ped. Cancer (all forms) receive 35 MILLION (this is private and government!
5-3% of siblings of children with cancer ages 8-18 (within 2 years of diagnosis) reported moderate to severe Post Traumatic Stress Symptoms and 27% qualify for a diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
-Researchers noted emotional stress, sense of emotional deprivation, anger, guilt and decrease in parental tolerance.

I have durring my battle become soo close to soo many young children and children who were my age and i have seen soo many of them not make it. I am happy to be able to say I wil be 3 years cancer free this december but i still get survivors guilt about how i made it and soo many younger children didnt

This is a heartbreakingly realistic video of childhood cancer, and the kids! My four-year old little boy died of leukemia. So, this honest video depicts the sadness, pain, horror and fear that we, as cancer parents, have seen on our children's faces... hat will be very hard coz u have allways got cancer cells the onlt cure will be to get something that takes away the cancer gene i know coz i have had cancer this year
