@Einfrein Well Terdsak Janpan's name was written beside all of Jay Chou's songs it said composed by Jay chou+ Terdsak Janpan. then I looked him up. he's an actual composer, composing music way before Jay Chou even started out. I think that's why Jay Chou chose him. so it's quite obvious that he needed help with the composing. otherwise why else would he need him?

Yeah well, he is still the songwriter of the song, whether he used help or not, right? As well as the other ones also may be classified as the songwriter of the song, but he probably came up with the main music of each song, or else he wouldn't be credited as the composer/songwriter, right?

And yes, Terdsak Japan DEFINITELY wrote some of the songs in the movie, and he MAY have helped Jay Chou with some of Jay's songs.

Yeah, I know, I watched that video too. That's why I was so confused, but if that's all the argument you have for Terdsak Japan writing it, I really don't believe he wrote it. I rather believe the uploader of that video, and thereby the writer of that description, is wrong. It says Jay Chou wrote that song on my original sheet music, plus he used one of Lu Xiao Yu's theme in his song "Pu Gong Ying De Yue Ding" (Dandelion's Promise), and he has all the credits for writing the music.

Yes it was a great movie, both the story and music, but it had some loopholes in it. But still among my favourite films.

Well, it says "Music by: Terdsak Japan, Jay Chou", even if you missed it. It is understandable that you didn't pay any attention to who wrote the music if you didn't even know Jay Chou wrote music, although if you really enjoyed the music you might've read that.

@Einfrein I'm not assuming that.... I know that he didn't. because it was composed by someone else. says somewhere on someone's video of them performing it. " Original song composed by Terdsak Janpan and performed by Jay Chou."

I also looked at some of the credits and it shows that Jay chou didn't compose all of the songs on his own he had help from others to compose the pieces... even on the song "secret".

@Einfrein I know he directed it... actually thinking about it. I did read that in the Wikipedia after I watched secret 1. I even read all about secret in the Wikipedia to see when secret 2 was coming out, but I didn't see where they say he composed the music they only say it's directed by him. Well anyways secret 1 was a good movie especially for those who enjoy classical music, I haven't watched secret 2 yet I'd like to see what other nice pieces of music it has.

Fine. Let's say I was wrong there, I admit it. I did mean songwriter, but didn't I say that he "composed" songs for himself, and lots of other artists? I clearly said songs, by then you should've understood I meant he wrote songs.

He isn't very well-known as an actor. He IS known as a songwriter. He was discovered in 1998 at a talent contest show, and ever since he's been known for writing his own music. Not for acting. Just for people in USA for seeing The Green Hornet and such.

How do you know he didn't write Lu Xiao Yu? I'm not sure he did, but I purchased a book of sheet music from the movie and it says that he composed it. And it was an original sheet music book.

and anyways many people that know him here don't know whether he composed the song or not. and the only reason I got mixed up was because I asked someone here and they said no way he composed something like this.... until someone told me it said so in the credits. and nicolenicole118 seems to know alot about him. and anyways so what? it's not the end of the world if someone says he didn't. you could just nicely tell them.... instead of a rude confrontation.

@Einfrein yes you don't know that much about music. you get mixed up with songwriter and composer. before you come and saying nasty stuff. my point is he is Not known very well as a piano composer. he is not known like Yiruma or Kevin Kern but better known as an actor. I know he Can Compose for the piano but he barely does.... its a side thing. so just chill out. not everyone goes reading up every little detail about them unless there some stocker fan
