Too many of BHOs associations are suspect. Too many of his 'friends' are radicals who hate Capitalism, free enterprise, America, freedom and white people. Too many are admitted socialists or communists, or basically racist. Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones, Saul Aulinsky, and the like. If it were just one 'friend' maybe it could be overlooked and shrugged off. There are just too many to believe that they had NO infuence and don't reflect his own personal beliefs.

@Leinieslightman obama was "born in 1961" ayers did his bombing from 1972 on; last i checked that would have put him at least 11 and older when this happened not 8. We will see the "dying GOP" when Alan Keyes becomes the next president in 2012 by winning 44 states just like Ronald Reagan did in 1980.

No, I learned the truth by doing some research.
For example, google "Annenberg Foundation" and then "Chicago Annenberg Challenge".
Walter Annenberg was Reagan's ambassador to Great Britain and his foundation gave $50 million dollars to an education project headed by Bill Ayers, and supported by heads of Chicago banks and businesses, universities and foundations.
Obama was selected by those foundation heads to lead a second board supervising the project, which was considered a great success.

He didn't downplay it. He gave you a straight answer. You can't blame an 8 year old for terrorism. An 8 year old doesn't even know what in the hell a terrorist is for one. And he met him 15 years later, he cleaned up his act and is now a college prof. I don't see what the big deal is here. Just desperation from the dying GOP is all.
