Hellz yeah.
-
DAMN N I C E - Vocals & guitar are still unreal in '87!
-
Mark's vocal is right on. Too bad the Grand Funk reunion came to an abrupt stop in 1983 approx. What's Funk was a real solid LP.
-
Mark had the Best Voice of all time. Could hit any note he wanted to, and had perfect vibratto.
-
Never mind the guitar work, never mind the songwriting, this guy has always been the most soulful of singers in the rock arena hands down. So much funk in the trunk.
-
The God Rockers, alright...

"It don't have no reason...thats right."
No reason Mark Farner and GFRxR shouldn't be in the Hall Of Fame. Please help us right this INJUSTICE....sign the petition. Thanks

As with all my GFRxR/Farner videos, there is a link in this video's description to a petition to induct Mark Farner & GFRxR into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. It takes only seconds to sign it. Come on all you Funk Brothers & Sisters. We need your signature & comments!

Great performance. Great singing and guitar playing by Mark, as always. I think he gets better as time goes by. Thank you for this video clip!! A very cool, rare performance.

Thanks Bekki. I just love the booming drum intro on this song. Mark's voice was right-on that night as always.

Great Mark Farner video, PackedFunk! Thank you!
This time period ('85-'86) Farner was also doing some rare songs on stage like: "I Bind You", "Doin' It Right" and "No False Idol"
The group rockin' here with him is "Vision" w/ Rocco Marshall on guitar, Skynyrd's Billy Powell on keyboards, Lawrence Buckner on bass and Mike Maple on drums. The last two, joined Farner in Common Ground a couple of years later (after "Adrenalin")

Cool JohninFunk. Thanks for the info, I'll make the changes to the description. This was a transitional period for Mark for sure. I first met Mark in '89 myself. This is a cool rare performance for sure. T.J.

Your right there ForReelFunk about Rolling Stone & GFRxR. All Rolling Stone ever did was to dog GFRxR about everything imaginable. Even going as far as calling their instruments (Mark's Messenger Guitar)were "junk" & Donny Brewer's drumming was monotinous. Saying "it will drive you up the wall". GFRxR were the first band to earn 10 consecutive platinum albums. Rolling Stone Magazine just bitched-slapped every fan who bought one of those albums.
