Residents of a Coventry apartment complex are back in their homes after a tense overnight standoff.
Police were called to the Woodland Manor Apartments around 10 p.m. Saturday night to investigate a harassing call complaint.
When they arrived, police say a man had barricaded himself inside a residence, and threatened to shoot any police officers who arrived.
The Coventry/West Warwick Joint S.W.A.T. Team was called to the scene as residents were evacuated as a precaution.
The standoff ended around 2:30 Sunday morning, when the man surrendered to police without incident.
The man was taken to Kent Hospital for an evaluation.
Police say there are no charges pending at this time.
