Mexicana flight 569 from Gadalajara, from seat 25A, landing in MEX with the ILS DME 05R procedure. On Xmas afternoon, very windy and chilly day (T = 8°C, Chill factor was 2°C) at MEX. Due to the cold conditions, too much mist was coming from the humidity from the Gulf of Mexico. Once in the ground, the mountains north to the city can be seen. In a polluted day that mounts can't be seen. The stewardess was so nervous that she said in spanish "Welcome to Mexico city... in the name of the captain we welcome you on board... ups, sorry, welcome you here to Mexico city" The landing was not so hard, but too many corrections in heading and pitch could be felt. I asked Santa to blow hard to send my gifts on time ;)
whats the ILS DME 05R procedure?

Just see a Jeppesen chart. Is a procedure entering from the north, with course 170°, descending from 11000 feet at VOR MATEO (112.100 MHz), then following that course until reaching 9600 ft at 89° radial NDB PLAZA (370 KHz), turning left 'til intercepting the radial 52° when the plane will intercept the glideslope of the Instrumetal Landing System at 109.100 MHz. Did you understand?

Do you play FSX by any chance?

No, I don't. I already play FS2004. Maybe in two years more, computer technology will allow us to obtain the maximum benefit from FSX without spending a fortune in electronic addings
