fairly solid game, however 7. 0-0 is much better than 7. d3. 7.0-0 , nxe4 8. re1, nf6 9. d4 wins the pawn back and white will have total control of the center, and a blistering attack.

Ah Chesscube, I used to play on there, I got an email a while ago saying it had gone premium, have they taken away a load of features from the none paying people?

c3 was a bit premature as you started to panic about youre e-pawn shortly afterwards - I think better was just 0-0 or maybe d4 straight away, but Im no Lopez expert.

the mistake black made in 37. was not playing Nf3+. If he would have played that, probably he had an eventual fork and a dominant queen position

Nice game! Your strategies within the Ruy Lopez are great! Just one thing, the Ruy Lopez has loads of incorporated traps, if you really want to dominate within this opening try exploring those (For example, on move 6 you could have castled kingside and regained your pawn along with explicit centre control with rook E1). Your games are really good! Keep making videos!

Yes in the main Line I castle but he played this early d6 so e5 is no longer hanging.
