Bodah, you need to bring the mast into balance. As you carve, staying sheeted in, your front arm will be extended out. When you rotate the sail, however, you need to bring the mast in close to your body. Some teachers call it "kissing the mast." That brings the mast into a more upright position (perpendicular to the board). The mast feels heavy to you because you're leaving that front hand extended, creating an imbalance, and the extra force when the sail spins yanks you over.
I’ve problem turning the sail when it's time to gibe, it feels heavy &wont turn by itself/by the wind! Can some body tell me what wrong I do? I’ve my hands on right place!
