@applesauce2100, Thats ok. My dad really did laugh about 2 being last place. Gosh, I remember when he started there, 2 was owned by GE. I just got my Dad's satin black WKRN jacket the other day. Also in my garage I have a record,its a 45 and it is from GE and has the ABC schedule on it and the record plays the jingles ABC was using at that time. It is funny to look at the schedule and see all the old shows listed for line up.

@beckigreen my bad, sorry! I like Channel 5/ WTVF and Channel 2/ WKRN...It just seem like they really work hard and continue to lag in last place... not a fan Channel 4/WSMV, but have hope Channel 2 could challenge Channel 5, but guess that depends on money and ownership...

@applesauce2100< I can't ask him because he died in November 2010, but he used to joke about channel 2 being last place all the time. He had a great sense of humor. I remember he hated working at the transmitter in Brentwood. I think it was in Brentwood. They would send him there to work at the transmitter sometimes. I was too young to know why they sent him to work in Brentwood.

@avenal70, my dad was Master Control at WNGE/WKRN from the mid 70's until 1987. I have been in the Master Control room a million times growing up.
