This Tree was cut down because power line crews had been trimming on it for years. You cant see it in this video but there are Three Phase power lines running maybe five feet away from the this tree three quarters of the way up. Limbs keep growing out and over the lines. This is bad because went one breaks, and it doesnt have to be very big, and falls on the lines it knocks the power out to alot of homes. These power lines supply a good chunk of this towns power. There were a few people upset by the whole ordeal but in the end everyone was on board and glad it happened the way it did. I'll also mention that in place of this tree and a couple of other Fir trees we had to get rid, were planted eight more trees in there place. These were power friendly trees. Power friendly means trees that only grow to a max. height of about 15 Feet. Some of these include all fruit bearing trees, Ornamentals ( Cherry, Elm, Maple's Etc.). Evergreens like Leyland Cypress, Emerald Green Arborvitae.

  • PERCIò CI SONO LE ALLUVIONI

  • @arulidelia

okay, I translated what you posted and it came up, "because there were floods.". Not really sure what you mean by that but thank you anyway!

  • Pretty good Face Cut.

The video title was eye catching, because its so similar to Stout Grove, the old growth redwood grove. On the subject of big trees, ever seen the Nat Geo 44 minute video? Search in Youtube's box for >>> Climbing Redwood Giants

  • @RedwoodExplorer That was a good video by Nat Geo. That whole cover story was cool. Alot of it was photographed just south of us a few miles on the California border.

  • Did you guys really need to use a skidder to pull it over?

  • @4inches4u

Lol...no not really. But it's required when were working next to power lines. Plus ut was such a high profile event lots of people were watching....we didnt need an accident. The skidder was strictly a precaution!

  • Check it out guys. Who cares about the giant redwood, now we have 15 foot tall power friendly trees! Idk. Had branches ever actually taken out the power before? And fruit trees are always cool.

  • Haha it didn't even bounce

  • Thumbs up this vid for sum big ass chainsaws!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that was fucking awesome to watch!...but they should have moved the power lines and left the tree, what a shame

  • well done

  • @DurintheDeathless91 oh gosh, the tree was there before the power line! have to cut a tree down because it is in the way! what is the world coming to ??!!! I bet there was a tree growing where the house you live in is now do you complain about that having been cut?

  • looks like they got the right guys for this job that is nice work! watching tree trimmers go about this kind of thing makes my gut roll most of the time.

  • That tree had been there a lot longer then the power lines. You dumbasses shouldn't have built them right beside a huge, old tree.
