Fouled anchor see the discarded chain

these poor guys actually fished up another ancor with their own and now must use precious hours to get free.... other wise they would snap all the power and communications cables in the area. If that chain still had an anchor attached to it and most likely that chain they had gotten on their anchor had been lost by another vessel and therefore the anchor was probably still there.. keeping them in place..

@gaggotgaggot Besides , the surge chain video , i dont understand why he dropped it to sea like that , but it looked too rusty to maintain i guess

@gaggotgaggot Fixing it will cost alot of money + voyage delay money and other expenses , so paying for the anchor only would be a good choice !

@gaggotgaggot We can do nothing but to let it all out , to keep the ship safe and her crew and also to keep on sailing according to schedule , Time is money and we cant afford losing more money moreover , we do plot position of where we dropped the anchor and report it to the company and to whom it may concern including the admiralty :) , so if a foul happened or the anchor gets stuck we can do nothing about it but to drop all out , cause we cant fix it and fixing it will cost lots of money :)

@gaggotgaggot Dude sometimes the anchor chain can get stuck into the sea's bottom in which it may be difficult or impossible to heave up , in some other situations the ship's anchor winch might have trouble or fault while droppin or heaving , which may cause to lose the control of winch and drops it all out ! , we seaman do realize how precious stuff onboard ships r ..n nobody need to tell us what we know...

NOt following this video. Please explain if you have the chance thanks.
The chain was discarded by another vessel that had to let it go because it was fouled on the sea bed and thats the only way they can resume with their sailing schedule. What they can do is mark it with a buoy or make note of the position it is lost and possibly recover at some later time if cost effective.
