On the Cool Kids' full-length debut, When Fish Ride Bicycles, the Chicago duo pulls together some impressive beats and features. The great beats are to be expected, but things really deteriorate in the rapping and lyricism departments.

I know it's band to simply get hung up over the lyricism of this album, but it's really holding me back on this one. I know the Kids' earlier stuff wasn't the most lyrical material on the planet, but When Fish Ride is really an album for people who don't listen much to the lyrics.

I like the album.....I agree that it is not as good as the bake sale many artists are unable to top their debut release....The cool kids are not in the same place as they were wen the bake sale was released there style has slightly evolved which is to be expected with any artist......I would r8 the album higher than a 4 that is just being overly critical!!!

I want to add this and keep in mind I agree with some of what you say I just think you were way too overly critical in some aspects. First up, 0:58 ? What about 'tacklebox' that was a great mixtape, I mean think about the song 'good afternoon' - amazing. What you said about them being materialistic. The cool kids have have always had that sort of side to them. The sneakers, the women, the cars, they are the cool kids! :D They definetly deserve more than 4 and plz dont compare them with rick ross

I fking hate u! because your right! :) Lyrically this album was not that amazing. However, I'm the kind of guy who focuses a lot on the instrumentals so, this album was great for me I loved it! However, bake sale was awsome and I don't think this topped it. I'm subbing dude I like what you do, lol this is the first time youtube's suggestions actually got me somewhere I wanted to be.

I think you should drink a couple more beers before you listen the cool kids album/ Trust me. This is a feel good album. Not a skip between tracks at all.
