Dry Ice Bomb Night

Ten pounds of dry ice, twenty-two plastic bottles, and five hours of wasted time....really cool wasted time.....

Edit April 2011: A lot of people want to know where to get this, how much, etc. You can get dry ice at most industrial supply facilities and some grocery stores. A lot of the time they aren't willing to give it out unless you have a good reason (dry ice bombs are not one of them). As for what works and doesn't, I can't say, we could never get consistent results, too many variables. We aren't scientists, just bored.

@mav6771 I agree, I would re-up if I still had the video file. This was just before they instituted HD video playback so I had to severely limit quality in order to meet their requirements

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It doesn't melt, it sublimes directly into gas from a solid. Pour warm water on it and it speeds the reaction way up. Since the ice takes up more space as a gas than a solid it fills the sealed bottle till it bursts.

These things can be just as dangerous as any conventional bomb out there. Twenty-ounce drink bottles make the best bombs because the plastic is much thicker than that of two-liters as evidenced right here. A damn cool video!

Use a 3LITER and fill it with water first all the way to where it starts curving and I prmise you that it would save you LOTS of time just make sure you can run fast dont forget to shake it up a lil bit
