becuase the stipe pant man has the best voice.
the orange hair doesnt have the best voice for the drama guns of brixton is trying to create.
the clash did theirs all off time and lovely, so lyrically they do it well

They were not from upper/middle class backgrounds...joe only went to bording school because his father was a civil servant who often went abroad so the government gave joe (or rather John) a place at a good school

Anyone realize that most of the Clash came from middle to upper-class background? Joe Strummer was well off, but he's as punk as they get. Its not about the men behind the ideas, its the quality of the ideas put forward.
