  • thank you so much for the tabla lesson, I mst agree its dificult to find a tabla player who makes a good teacher. My tabla teacher lives in another state so its difficult to hook up with him very often, I do hope you post lesseon 2,3, and so on you are a very gifted teacher, Thank you, thank you, thank you,,,

  • @bodichair Thank you very much for your kind words! I have replied back to your message regarding future videos =]

  • Awesome video!!! So clear, thank you!!!

  • @zip4096

    =] glad i could help

  • Hello. You have a very good video. but as a little suggestion: you may want to add a mute on the outer rim of the syahi on the "Na" stroke.

"Na" without the mute creates a very unappealing resonance and utilizing it in such a way will cause stresses in taals. But otherwise, good video. Keep it up.

but thanks 4 clearing it up =]

wher's yer reply .. clever guy?

  • @AmitSingh92 yeah, please do. i'm having a hard time finding the right youtube tabla teacher. they all teach differently so i don't know who's right. doesn't it depend on what school/region/gharana/baj or is that a thing of the past?

  • @PammiChand To clarify this, make sure you place the ring finger tip on the very edge of the syahi (black spot), just touching it. That will "mute" the sound.

  • this is still the best explanation of the tabla on the whole internet. everything else is like so advanced and not explained well. please post more

  • @AnonymousMusician

Pro' enough to make a video with few "mistakes"
