So, true...so true! I think I've pretty much been into the minimalism concept, too, but never had a name for it. My weakness is books, though...and music, and movies...THAT'S where I have to think long and hard about things.
I don't care about fancy cars and boats and fashion (shoes, handbags, etc.), but everyone has their own "thing", I guess. I'd rather go for quality than quantity, too.
I'm glad to read that you're happy about what you do and how you live. That's great! :)

I actually considr myself a minimalist.
I do not keep stuff I don't use, we are simple folks and we actually like it that way.
I don't involve myself in stressful situations (except Diane's cancer).
It is hard though because some things we can't control.
Everyone has to priortize (roof over your head, food on the table, utilities, ETC....)
We do try to live life the best that we can but you know how things crop up that you don't expect.
We do pretty well though overall.
