You can see that Blackie loves Anthony dearly. Being a Chili Peppers fan all of my life and listening to Anthony's lyrics tell me Anthony loves his dad dearly also.

Yeah, he wanted his son's life to be interesting, to be different, cause life is not just money and boring work and shitty life with nothing happening in it. Maybe it went a lil bit wrong, but it's the real life experience. Anthony had his struggles but he also have a life worth a book. So, it is what it is and I just love Red Hot Chili Peppers with it's all members lifes and music that came from it.
