Valdo stokers up the Yoker for 2011 with a pure dillion of a lecture introducing the one and only Einstein and his Special Theory of Relativity. You can't just dive straight in though without mentioning Galileo and Newton and their bottonary!

  • If I had this in 2nd year uni, I think life would have been far less traumatising back then during special relativity!

  • @c2aye The positive thing is that this is now being taught at the more general Higher level and not kept for the specialist Advanced Higher (formerly 6th Year Studies). My philosophy has always been that kids can learn from an earlier age some key concepts in Physics so as to avoid traumatisation later in life. Being an Engineer it's all traumatising to me!!!

  • A student recognizes Einstein in a train and asks: Excuse me, professor, but does New York stop by this train?

  • @1888celticmad Exactly! Unless you're accelerating (decelerating) you could claim it is you who is stationary and the world moves around you!
