UFC 105 - Predictions

1)Randy Couture vs Brandon Vera

a)It all boils down to this If you cant keep Randy off of you, youre likely getting a beating.

Brandon hasnt shown one punch knockout power. So I see Randy grounding & pounding Brandon into submission.

b)Things to consider.

i)No disrespect to Randy, I love. I was never happier watching a fight than when he whipped Tim Silva.

Randy is starting to look old. Before it was a number, now its becoming a reality.

However, Randy will be a beast at 205 if he can get his hands on you.

ii)Brandon knows if he doesnt come with his A game he is going to take a serious beating. So that in itself will be a major motivator for Brandon.

iii)Brandon impressed me in his last fight with Krzysztof Soszynski.

iv)Randy wont be an underdog so that doesnt bold well for him.

c)This fight will tell a lot about both fighters.

i)It will tell if Randy is getting too old to compete.

ii)If Randy competes like a young man & Vera handles him, Veras ready for a title shoot.

iii)If Randy handles Vera easily, then Randys next fight should be a title fight.

d)Im giving the edge to Randy with a 55% change of winning & Brandon a 45% change of winning.

2)Mike Swick vs Dan Hardy

a)I really like this fight. Both guys are young, quick & potentially title contenders.

I believe Mike Swick has the edge over Dan Hardy but not by much. I can see this fight going either way.

I dont see this fight being a bigger test than normal for Mike Swick. However, I see this being the biggest test of Dan Hardys career.

When watching Dan Hardys pre-fight commentary, he knows he cant get under Mike Swicks skin which doesnt bold well for Dan. This might even scare Dan a little bit. I think it takes away from his edge if he cant get under your skin.

b)What this fight will reveal?

i)If Swick makes quick work of Dan, then he is ready for a title shoot.

ii)If Hardy makes quick work of Swick, then he is ready for a title shoot.

iii)Mike has more to lose than Hardy in the this fight.

c)Im going to give the edge to Mike Swick with a 55% change of winning & Dan Hardy a 45% change of winning.

3)Michael Bisping vs Denis Kang

a)I dont know enough about Denis Kang to give good commentary on this fight. Other than a lot of guys who are hyped outside the UFC disappoint. Therefore, I have to pick Bisping just because I know him.

4)James Wilks vs Matt Brown

a)Im really interested in see James Wilks fight again. I was really impressed with his performances in the Ultimate Fighter. I see James Wilks taking out Matt Brown in the first round.

James Wilks looks like a guy that could be champion someday. I cant ever see Matt Brown being champion.

5)I will be doing a post fight video right after the fight just like before. Itll probably take 30 minutes to an hour to get it done & uploaded.

swick or hardy getting a title shot if they win is total nonsense, i think the wiinner should face the winner of koscheck vs Johnson,for ta title shot,but whatever the ufc is full of nonsense.
