@kendalismyname Hey I was browsing videos just how and found a solution that works on my computer at least! If you have the movies on an SD card, open iMovie and then pop the card it, it shows up for me. I would always put the card / camera in first and then open iMovie and it'd never show up

You are cute

I have the same camera and it works fine with importing to iMovie 08/09(normally don't use iMovie i use Final Cut but i just tried it) and also to FCP Studio, I don't know what iMovie you are using but Flash drive and Hard drive based camcorders only work with iMovie 08/09 and NOT with iMovie 06/HD/or any other older version(only MiniDV tape based camcorders work with the older iMovies). try HV20.com ask on the forums, good ppl
With this camera it does not need to be in a power-source to import.

@teenagepsychic i think I have the wrong plug for it. I think I have to have my brother find it and send it, but when I asked him to look he didn't find what I think I need....
I have the same problem it's so annoying

@mhodgman50 After I pretty much gave up and left it connected, it showed up for me. Such a tease. See if it works... just let it sit there for a minute or two.

Find a new hobby. I don't think your brain was designed for this.
