The Chancellor has announced a VAT hike to 20% in a Budget packed full of spending cuts and tax rises. . Follow us on twitter at http://twitter.com/itn_news .
@ToaJoe calling someone a retard isn't really going to help when you are asking them for evidence is it. Do you think the government is putting up the tax to gain votes for the next election? No. They won't be doing this for a joke. Its time to repay back the debts.
@markyboy1704 LOL, I'm just sat here asking for a link to prove your statements, and you are getting completely wound up and angry. Calm down, you fool. If you're going to make bold statements like that, please provide me with evidence.
@ToaJoe The PDI debt will be total over the lifetime span on all PFI contacts over the next 50 years.
FYI, A study of the current 641 PFI projects in motion by the GMB union reveals that we are locked into paying out £250 billon on PFI projects that are only worth £64 billion.
@ToaJoe As of last year, UK PFI Debt stood at £245.8bn, this will increase if current building programmes are not stopped and re-negotiated. The Labour government were reckless with PFI, and PFI is not included in the national debt.
The QE Hospital Birmingham is a clasic example.
Total NHS Mortgage costs alone on PFI have hit £65 bn, not good value for money when money is needed at front line services such as cancer treatment etc.
@ToaJoe You see all the hospitals and schools that have been built over the last 13 years, people think that their taxes have gone to building them then i'm afraid they have been led up the garden path.
The Tories introduced a new system called PFI which allowed private companies to come in and bid to build the properties, the company that won the contract then builds the hospital etc and then leases it back to the government over a 50 year period.
@markyboy1704 Yes, it does. Where are you getting this 1 trillion figure from? That is what David Cameron said the deficit WOULD be if Labour were in power for another five years.

@ToaJoe Your a typical socialist who CANNOT accept the TRUTH.
The GMB a union also confirms the Treasurys stats and you still cant accept it.
Your a hypocritical socialist who enjoys the benefits of capitalism, nothing more nothing less.
If you have half a brain you could find it on the HM Treasury website or is that too much for your brain capacity.
