Click "Watch in HD"!

This is a remake of Part 01 of my human head modeling tutorial series. I wanted to do it cuz YouTube now offers HD, and I also wanted to play with Camtasia Studio 6's "Tilt" feature.

Again, this part goes over setting up the reference images in your scene. Forgive me, I'm horrible at speaking during tutorial recordings, I feel awkward talking to myself, lol. Hopefully I'll improve the more I do it.

Part 02 will start off by modeling the lips.

  • i wanted to continue these videos while i was deployed to afghanistan, but i decided to just wait until i got home to my PC (i only have my macbook right now). give it a few more months, almost home :)

  • Hi

so basically..,I can make a 3D model of myself with this software?

Using pics of me and converting them in 3D?...using these pics as textures or something and cover them over 3D models?

  • @jjpower246 with enough practice and training, yes you could eventually make a 3d model of yourself. you don't necessarily "convert" your pictures to 3d, you use your pictures as a reference for modeling. you can use your pictures as textures, but it's significantly more complicated than it sounds :)

  • the 3d view thing that you use to highlight things is annoying

  • @grgcucu ya, i thought it was cool at the time, but i agree with you. i will NOT be using that in future vids.

  • where did u get those reference pics for ur model???
