where can i buy the compound? does it have to be? or can i get some drywall stuff?
-
You gotta WRING that shit! LOL :P

Tip: Before soaking the burlap in the monster mud soak it in water and get it thoroughly wet. Make sure to use untreated burlap (treated is soaked in kerosene which won't take mud). That way the monster mud will soak in better.

5 parts to one also makes a good martini

You did a great job! Have you used the monster mud on tombstones?
-
maybe a bucky skeleton would have looked better in the burlap

@TheXerithian I don't remember, but it wasn't expensive.

Where did you get the skeleton hands, and the scythe
TheXerithian 6 months ago
@TheXerithian I found the scythe at a used tool store and the hands I made using 1/2 pvc and pink foam for the finger tips.

In the video you say the ratio is 5 parts paint, 1 part compound, which is the opposite of your summary for the video.
Just for clarification what is the ratio?

@paulfivesixseven The origianl mix is 5 parts joint compound to 1 part paint, but it depends on your project. Some like 3 to 1. I used the reverse for this project, but that was a personal preference.
