CHEN:
Moving onto Thailand, where a car bomb exploded yesterday in a Muslim town south of the country. A journalist and a rescue worker have died along with Thirty-three others. Government officials and shoppers have also been injured.
STORY:
The car bomb came just minutes after a first bomb hidden in a motorcycle was detonated by remote control. The bomb exploded near a busy restaurant across from a police station. There were no casualties from the first blast. Police say the second bomb came as security forces and journalists were rushing to the scene.
[Padung Wannarak, Injured Journalist]:
"I was filming at the time and I heard someone shouting 'it's a bomb, run away.' When I ran a few paces, the bomb exploded. One journalist was killed and my body was thrown against something. I saw someone's body on fire and then someone took us to hospital."
Police say seven of the 33 wounded people are in serious condition.
