well ...believe it or not during this video i admit something ive never admitted before not even to myself :( ..its takes me a moment to gather my composure after saying it out loud :( i did have a loss this week :)
last week 142.2
this week 140
loss of 2.2 lbs :)
finally looked up what it meant to have what they say i have and this is what scared me :(

Eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS) involves disordered eating patterns. EDNOS is described in the DSM-IV-TR as a "category [of] disorders of eating that do not meet the criteria for any specific eating disorder".
"This category is frequently used for people who meet some, but not all, of the diagnostic criteria for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorder. For example, a person who shows almost all of the symptoms of anorexia nervosa, but who still has a normal menstrual cycle and/or body mass index, can be diagnosed with EDNOS. Or someone that restricts and shows most of the symptoms of anorexia but has occasional episodes of binging without purging."

  • EDNOS actually is an ED just letting you know :)

  • @xxlenamylovexx WOW i just had to watch this again ..to see if i said it wasnt ??? that shows you how much im in denial of what they say i have :/ ...its very hard to admit even to myself i have this ..so i guess in this video i am accepting the fact that i have it ..but maybe its easier to say i have it .if i say its not a real eating disorder ??? i cant believe i didnt notice it ...

  • They just updated the entire category for the latest overhaul of these eating disorders. It will be published soon. I've cycled between a compulsive overeater/exercise bulimic. Scary stuff, so take care of yourself. I have to battle every day. Also, brain activity between anorexics, bulimics, and binge eaters is exactly the same. Whether you go to Overeaters Anonymous or Anorexics & Bulimics Anonymous, the share the same type of stories. So glad you found a place to share your story online.

  • @shed4life i didnt realize they had overhauled the disorders, but what i do wonder now is if i had compulsive eating disorder or did i have the EDNOS the entire time ..since it kind of deals with all the eating disorders ..if that even makes sense lol i also had no idea you could flip flop between eating disorders. and i will definitely get in contact with you :) thanks :)

  • @shed4life thank you so much rob for the info :( ...i had no idea they had overhauled the disorders, in fact until last nite looking at those girls posting i hadnt even entertained the notion that i had what they said i had. it wasnt until i read those and then actually googled the disorder that i realized i had almost every symptom they said :/ i also had no idea you could flip flop between disorders...needless to say i was not a happy camper ...but i will be talking to you !!!

  • @xxlenamylovexx ED for 7 years not given the proper treatment when it was noticed by the docs and now have had it so long it's like the ED is me and even the slightest thought of recovery is not possible, I mean I know deep down I want to but the ED has completely overshadowed any fight that was once in me... anyways I could ramble on about this for an enternity so I'm gonna leave it there! If you ever want to talk you can always inbox me :) Take care

  • @xxlenamylovexx my reasoning for that is because of that label they're not getting the treatment thus letting the ED manifestate for a lot longer than it would've if it had been treated immideatley! The longer you leave someone with an ED the more prolonged they're likely to have it and thus making it harder for them to recover in the future... I think I'm living proof of that, cont....

  • @shellybean826 yeah when you said it I thoughtyou may have been in denial! I just thought I'd say just because a lot of people don't realise that actually EDNOS is just as serious as anorexia or bulimia and infact recent studies say that there have been more deaths from people with the diagnosis of EDNOS, cont....
