A film showing the twisting descent through woodland on Boxley hill and leading to the famous Pilgrim's Way at the bottom of the hill. The course of The Pilgrim's Way was dictated by the natural geography. It took advantage of the contours, avoided the sticky clay of the land below but also the thinner, overlying clay with flints of the summit.Ancient main streets of towns and villages along the route included Farnham Guildford Dorking Reigate Gomshall Dorking Merstham Chaldon Godstone Limpsfield and Westerham Otford Kemsing Wrotham Trottiscliffe Cuxton St Martha's Hill The Chantries Burham Boxley Rochester Detling Harrietsham Lenham Charing Wye Chilham and on to Canterbury.
The song accompanying the film is "The Girl Next Door" by Maidstone based band Unlucky Fried Kitten. It is based on the song "Maid Voisin Immediat de l'a cote" which is a song that one of the Pilgrim's sang during the journey. I have been unable to find a lyric of the original Pilgrim's song and would be grateful if anyone can help me with that. Also..if you know which Pilgrim actually sang the song I would be delighted to find out. (I'm sure there are some brilliant local historians out there.)
Unlucky Fried kitten comprises of Andy Export (formerly Andy Fraser) and Rio Fraser. You can hear lota of their songs by searching Unlucky Fried Kitten on YouTube.

I've been trying to find that episode. Any idea which one it was? A few of my friends saw it too. Thanks for thinking of it. :)

Hi , Thanks for the reply
Can't remember the episode, but it was around the time of the new baby and "u.f.k." was on an advert in the pub. Cheers.
