Jon Hage is one of the nation's leading social entrepreneurs committed to improving the educational system in the U.S. As founder and CEO of one of the fastest growing and most successful education companies in the nation ? Charter Schools USA ? he has been a leader in changing the face of education in our country. He grew CSUSA from its inception in 1997 as a start up idea into a company with over 2,000 employees educating over 17,000 students in 29 schools. He has also founded several sister companies including a real estate development company and an educational technology and content curriculum company. More importantly, his schools have produced some of the strongest gains in reading, writing, science and math in the nation based on state and federal performance standards

He formerly advised Congress, the President and foreign governments as a research analyst at the prestigious Heritage Foundation think tank in Washington, DC. He holds a BA from the University of Colorado and a MA from Georgetown University. He and his wife Sherry, who is Vice President of Education at CSUSA, and their four children live in Fort Lauderdale.
