@iwonbigbro Works for me; not everyone's body works the same, so not everybody will train quite the same. I explained for the sake of those who are more like me when it comes to working out. ^_^

It's more tiring that way with a shorter workout, and I still steadily increase in speed, stability, and coordination.

@iwonbigbro You are right. But the version I am talking about is much harder to perform and it developes stabalizer muscels and develop strength.
I used to do crocodile walk like you are doing in this video but trust me the other one is much tougher. I am putting a video response so take a look at this.

it looks like you're cleaning the floor too...

That way you're doing is definitely the easy way. I personally croc walk with a full staggered push up motion, dragging my feet across carpet with nothing to reduce friction. Going for speed is okay, but going for a real workout is more effective and produces more speed in the end.

@SirRebrl I think you are missing the point completely, but never mind. Yes, the "press-up" walk is harder to perform, since it puts more emphasis on strength endurance. This version of the walk is all about speed endurance and co-ordination. Two completely different routines for two completely different goals. If your goal is to improve your strength endurance, then you stick with your method.

@iwonbigbro First, it's silly to preface with "but nevermind" and then explain anyway. Second, I didn't miss the point. I know well the difference between speed and strength training. Personally, if I focus on strength I build speed more quickly than focusing on just speed. Also, as far as this exercise goes, I do push for as much speed as possible when focusing on strength, essentially trying to make the whole exercise a fluid motion.

@SirRebrl It's not silly to preface with "but never mind", since I explained for the benefit of other readers. Clearly you have your own opinion, which is fine; so let's agree to differ and just leave it at that.

A better version of crocodile walk can be found while googling 'mankind muscles'

@ehteshamy2k There is no better or worse way of doing this. This is specifically the type of crocadile walk required in the Gladiators assessment. If anybody had attempted the version you posted in the assessment, they'd have been there all day. Also, you had to do this for 50 metres without letting any part of your body touch the floor except your hands or feet, otherwise it would have been instant disqualification. Bearing in mind you are trying to do this for time, you need speed!
