Corrina counts down the 10 worst foods you could eat in terms of weight gain and obesity. Chances are if you eat an average American diet, you ate at least three of these this week. These are the foods that will make you fat.

In a fast food nation, eating healthy food becomes difficult to do. Yet a poor diet contributes to low energy, obesity, stress, health problems and high medical bills.

If you eat better, you will feel better and this video discusses some of the foods you should avoid. Fitness, health and wellness depend on good nutrition.

  • what about homemade white bread? i know whole wheat is better than white, and i do use refined flour and sugar in the recipe, but everything else is pretty "natural" -- water, oil, salt, etc. would this homemade bread at least be better than store bought?

  • @autiger509 Homemade bread made with refined white bleached flour is still unhealthy. Perhaps not as bad as storebought (less chemicals), but still not healthy like any bread made from 100% whole wheat flour, or even better: sprouted grain flour.

  • Corrina, great vid! But you missed a top-notch fattening food - conventional PIZZA! White flour crust, covered with fatty-fat cheese, preservative-filled meats, and tomato paste full of sugar. Conventional pizza throws your insulin levels off balance for 8 hours after eating a piece! I read somewhere that US Congress defines pizza as "vegetable portion" if it has 2 table spoons of tomato paste, so that it can be served at schools. America - the dumbest nation in the world, you deserve to be fat!

  • @Jabberwock87 I read that article, I don't think they were able to pass pizza off as a vegetable, but they definitely did try!! You're right about pizza being a bad combo of carbs, cheese, processed meats and sugar (in the tomato sauce and crust)... but so good, uggh

  • @ConcreteRiver I hate to tell you but fat doesn't make you fat. Sugar does. Good fats (such as the ones that come from olive oil, nuts, and avocados) are very healthy. A potato is not a complete food. I don't know who told you that but they totally lied.

  • @D3mang3l I had to reply. For me, soda was easy to give up. But don't come between me and my cheese and pasta or IT'S ON!!!!!! LOL! It is interesting to hear how different everyone is on what they found really difficult to give up. Wine would also be hard. It's a big thing with my family. My brother has a killer cellar and lots of great wine that I could never afford. It's an experience! Especially if I have too much! LOL.

  • @HrapovikPlush For me, that would be going overboard. But I know you are trying to help. I would be miserable if that is all I ate. If I die from eating/drinking a little organic cheese, wine, and pasta, then so be it. I want to live and enjoy life. Perfect health is not really my goal. Just good health. I don't doubt that you are literally in perfect health. But that is just not worth it for me personally.

  • wat about packed popcorn?

  • You drank a diet coke to satisfy your hunger, then you felt hungrier later?

    O_o

    Ok...

  • recycled faeces is the key to longevity mmmmm

  • Everything in moderation and in fine balance, that is my modo.

  • @obeytheDOODLE Trust me, organic cheese, wine, and pasta are all unhealthy. If you are really trying to lose weight then look into a raw vegan diet. Rules are simple -- eat as much raw fruit and vegetables as you want and the weight will come off effortlessly. That's the food humans were designed for in the first place.

  • Brilliant video! by the way my mother tried this quite popular diet routine named: Impact 790 Diet and already lost 6 kgs in a month. I can not remember the site just Google it.

  • Great Video! I have subscribed and will be looking forward to new uploads! I just went Vegetarian. I am about 20 lbs into the obese range which is horribly embarrassing! I'm hoping by summer I will be in just the overweight range and by fall in normal range and by the end of the year at my goal weight!!! Luckily, the three foods I cannot live without can be good for you in TRUE moderation and in the correct form. They are pasta (I only eat organic whole grain), organic cheese and organic wine.

  • After I eliminated pop and even fruit juice from my diet the pounds started coming off much easier, but I'm still a sucker for pastries and chocolate.
