  • She was certainly beautiful and talented ! I have the Welk reunion tape when she was in Branson! It is great !!

  • No, that's my mom Lois Best! She was THE original Champagne Lady as documented in Welk's book, "Wunnerful, Wunnerful". My dad, Jules Herman, is the trumpet soloist on "Ain't She Sweet". They married in 1939 and remained friends with Welk and his wife Fern throughout their lives. I met him on several occasions as a child. Mom is 92 years old and just as lovely today!

  • Is this Jane Walton, one of the first original champagne ladies? Does anyone know?
