Primates didn't take too kindly to a raccoon that got into their enclosure last week at the St. Louis Zoo. They attacked the creature and sent it flying across the exhibit as it worked feverishly to escape.

The raccoon tried to escape through a drain pipe as it was doggedly pursued by the chimps. One chimp caught it by the tail as its head was lodged in the pipe.

"That's probably how he got in," someone suggested about the drain pipe, in which the raccoon's head was lodged. Another chimpanzee started hitting the raccoon while it was in its vulnerable position.
