The Real God: An Epiphany

Because I was constantly being told that I'm rejecting God, and I knew that wasn't true, I decided to research rejection, which made me aware of its effects. My studies took me in a completely unexpected direction. The epiphany (pun intended) was rather shocking. The evidence indicates that the personal god is a manifestation of the ego, which explains a plethora of theistic tendencies, including their typical dislike of atheists, who theists subconsciously perceive to be rejecting a part of themselves. God is Tyler Durden; and the first rule of Jesus Club is you have to talk about Jesus Club. The second rule of Jesus Club is you have to talk about Jesus Club.

I agree 100% McVeigh is an excellent example. I am not an atheist. But I have an intense resentment for those who try to force their religious beliefs on others, or use their religion to justify murder or other high (or low) crimes. Separation of church and state is fundamental to a free society, it also ironically protects religion from being corrupted by being adopted by the state. If one sect is official, all other sects become second class. Many theists fail to grasp that is a problem

I go a step further though. I don't think it's normal or logical that I, living in a secular society, need to abide by rules that are ONLY based on religious beliefs instead of reasoned argumentation.

That is actually the sole reason why one could call me an "atheist activist". If those religion-based rules wouldn't exist, I'ld have no problem with religions.

How can you say "the godless have killed more" that doesn't jibe with history my friend, I do believe there is a god. I just have problems with tiny human beings trying to claim they have god on a short leash. And the pretense that any disagreement with them is disagreement with the creator of the universe. Claiming to have "god on your side" is far more dangerous than expressing doubts about gods existence. Islamic fundamentalists are proof of that. "Christians" can be just as bad, sad but true

The dead give away that someone feels they are losing an argument is when they resort to offensive terms like "retard" to describe those they are losing their argument to. When logic fails you, resort to insults. You seriously are in need of help. It is okay to seek it out....you will not find the help you need on this post

I am not an atheist, if you had been paying attention you would know that by now. I just don't like to see religion used as a weapon. You are a charlatan, and are not as smart as you tell yourself you are. Obviously you are unbalanced and have a narcissistic compulsive disorder of some sort. Go get the help you need, it is okay to admit you are mentally ill. The rest of us will support you in your efforts to become well again. I am not kidding, you have major problems.

I used to not collect stamps as well. I stopped doing it after a while though... It took up to much space of my non-existing garage in my appartement on the 20th floor.

I agree. The difference between me and theists: I'm honest about my ignorance and don't try to insert magic skydaddies to cover up my ignorance. When asked, I simply say I don't know and am fine with that. It's called intellectual honesty.
