I studied medicine in the 1970s. My statistics course in medical school was similar to many other statistics courses students have to suffer through - totally incomprehensible. I do have a special interest in numbers and thought there must be a way statistics can be taught so students can actually understand the topic. I read through a number of textbooks, and found most of them just as incomprehensible as the teaching.
Over the last 25 years I have developed my own approach to the teaching of statistics. I assume that students know nothing before they enter my classroom, so far it is the right place to start...
