well the rescue companies in Pittsburgh are withing the Paramedic or EMS Bureau. They are not part of the Fire Bureau. They do all the heavy rescue work that a heavy rescue company does in a Fire Department, it is just in the EMS department in Pittsburgh. All Pittsburgh EMS workers are Paramedics.
