Yep. He was a lobbyist. He lobbied for evil organizations such as the "Connecticut Student Loan Foundation." Because we all know that students should be left out to dry and no one should stand up for them in Washington. Umm, yeah. Right. This ad is just another example of Republicans twisting the truth into something far from it. Pathetic.
He's an opportunist? Sure he is! And the GOP just admitted that their candidate has done a HORRIBLE JOB for the last 6 years (at least), helped to authorize an illegal war and NOW he has the opportunity to get thrown out on his ass. Roberts has been in DC too long! Slattery raised taxes? Big deal. Roberts authorized the greatest deficits ever and sold our grandchildren out to pay for it. Nice going Pat!
I'd be scared, too. Roberts provided no oversight over the largest failure of intelligence in our nation's history. He's also voted for subsidies for oil companies while accepting money from Big Oil and against allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices while accepting money from Big Pharma.
Yeah, too bad Slattery was only a lawywer at that law firm. And I think that Pat Roberts kind of forgets to tell you that his own son is a lobbyist.

Seems like perhaps a nerve was hit. They realize that Slattery can beat Roberts and instantly go negative!
