Prioritizing Human Over-Population

Hi from Asheville and the beautiful mountains of western NC! My name is Daisy and I'm a democratic leaning libertarian, so an unaffiliated or independant voter. I am also a 30 year old nurse, married for 13 years to my highschool sweetheart, deliberately childless, and a long time advocate of population control and atheist.

How many kids do you have or plan on having? The problem I see it is everyone is willing to point a finger at someone else who should sacrifice besides them. I have no kids. I'm an environmentalist who is not a hypocrite.

I'm pretty sure it says in the video tag-- oh, yep, right there---that I'm deliberately childless. Every human within walking distance of a doctor should be sterilized, with or without their consent, because their genetic copies are destroying the environment, regardless of their poverty level. After that we can talk about sustainable population.

Oh no; we won't be having kids! If we ever get the urge to have no free time or money we might adopt but we both find pregnancy and childbirth revolting. There's a reason they invented "vaginal rejuvenation" surgery and I don't want any part of it..lol!

I support everything you said in this video. But why haven't you considered adoption? Its a harsh sacrifice to be childless when other have multiple kids. I think we should at least support and sustaine the people who are living on this earth while we can work on the solutions to prevent over-population.

Thanks for the comment! Adoption is a possibility far down the road; we will adopt older, hard to place kids if/when we do. Listen to some of Thom Hartman's archives on this topic; besides antibiotics/sterile method, the next biggest reason population exploded 100 years ago was fossil fuels.
