  • I knew the comments would blast her for the pronunciation, but I doubt Murakami would be offended. Great review of a wonderful book. I'd like to recommend Murakami's other non-fiction offering, "Underground," about the Tokyo subway gas attacks. Great stuff.

  • The writer's name should be pronounced as HA-ru-ki. Stress on HA, instead of of ru(absolutely not ha-ru-kind though.) Mr.Murakami's translator & Biographer Jay Rubin mentioned it in "Haruki Murakami and the music of words".
