This is definitely more artsy than most of my previous videos.
The script was originally written for the stage, but I adapted it slightly for film. I wrote the script a long time ago and didn't even decide to film it until after I had found the cast. I decided on the spur of the moment that I wanted to make a short film Sunday night around 10:30 and by 1:00am we had wrapped filming. I edited it together the next day.
The filming method itself is somewhat interesting. Firstly, the cast is made up of non-actors, one of which we found right before we began filming. Nate saw her and asked if she wanted to be a part on a film. Each person was put in the little room and had their lines fed to them one at a time as I recorded it. Because they had no exposure to the script as a whole or even their lines, the delivery becomes more surreal. I was actually crouched up in the corner to get the proper angle. The Woman was filmed first, followed by the Man and The Voice. I then edited the lines back together in the proper order.
I really like the way this one turned out. I find it very jarring and somewhat disconcerting. If you don't like it, I don't really care.
