Date: London,1st Sept 2011
Venue: The HMV Forum, Highgate Road, London NW5 1JY
Boxing and beauty join forces as the modelling industry's finest take to the ring for the long-anticipated Models Fight Night 2011.Sixteen professionally-trained beauties will contest eight physically gruelling bouts in a Clash of the Titans-themed night of entertainment to raise money for The Katie Piper Foundation.
The girls, who have appeared in magazines such as FHM, Nuts and Loaded and modelled for brands including Rimmel and FCUK, are currently undergoing an intensive training regime at London's 'The Boxing Clinic' in preparation for the Big Fight. The girls will compete in a 2,000-seater auditorium in front of an audience
that will include a whole host of stars from the worlds of sports and entertainment.
Berryland Films are filming the girls' progress from preparation in the gym to fighting in the ring, for a documentary that will be broadcast on Sky Sumo TV and Lucky TV (Oct/Nov 2011), and will show the girls' transformation, and reactions from the worlds of modelling and boxing as these glamorous newcomers fight to prove their boxing skills in the ring. Some of the fights will be broadcast on Sports Tonight Live which is Britain's newest Sports TV station. The channel will bring sports fans 4 hours (7pm-11pm) of sports
debate, discussion and drama. Host is former talkSport presenter Mike 'porky' Parry and the show is a chatty and informative sports discussion programme.
World-class entertainment will include Collette Morrow performing her aerial and silks act, World martial arts champion Rubie Planson performing a samurai sword display, alongside performers Makylea Munroe, Francesca Ricci and Charlotte Rene.
