  • @dragonyang1 assuming u have a 1999 civic si, the b16 makes the most power at 7200 rpm no need to go any further

  • @specvnismo06 Yes, very similar performance out of the K24 equipped Si and the new SpecVs. The K24s have more torque than the K20 Si's was what I was trying to say. Hard to get a clear conversation when you're limited to so few characters. And I totally agree, you get your knucklehead driver fanboys in every make and model. They make EVERYONE look bad haha

  • @driftingeric2k4 The new si has more torque but isn't it around the same as the b16 spec v? I know the sentra still has 180 tq and 200 bhp with a 7500 redline which is WAY better than the b16 6200 redline...My car is nearly stock but I really enjoy it It's a lot quicker than people think,I'm not a honda hater,I'm a honda driver hater, they are overly arrogant out here in cali.

  • I dont think that a spec v cause i got a SER spec v and i run flat 15 and even a 14.7 1 time .

The only si i seen who was able to keep up with me was using 75 hp of nos so this SI is far from being stock .

  • @specvnismo06 I wont argue that, in fact thats exactly what I said "they both run 15s". The older specVs run high 15s.I was mostly pointing out the fact that for the North American market, the Civic hatches ended in 2005 with the (awful) EP3s. No argument from me, both cars are great. The new Honda Civic Si with the K24 is a better match to the new SpecVs because of the higher torque. (Did I just put torque and Honda in the same sentence? lol)

  • @driftingeric2k4 Well you're comparing an outdated b15 spec v to a performance model honda,it's like saying my Ducati can beat your Bicycle....of course, considering the spec v has mild performance at best..the QR25 motor is garbage..they should have used the sr20 or at least offered a VQ option. As for the newer gen si's they have solid high end but overall they aren't that much of a performance model themselves...We can compare a b16 sentra spec v to the newest honda, the numbers are a lot closer

  • @specvnismo06 The hatches ended in 2005 (unless you are talking about the JDM type R which is still a hatch - and that model will easily beat a SpecV under any condition). Starting in 2006 (8th Gen Civics), your options were either Sedan or Coupe. That is also when the Si's switched over to the K series motor from the B series found in the 99 - 2005 Si's, and the K series will easily hang with a Spec V. They both run low 15s.

  • Peace of shit nissan honda all the way

  • modded si vs stock spec v ? considering a spec v can eat a hatch si 2005-2007 i doubt this is just a straight up race...yea spec has low top end but this si is not that fast

  • what are the mods on the civic?
