I live in Antibes, close to Nice... Nice is great :-)

@kirkshammett94 : to be honest french people have a point of view that Nice is a city which cost money for live there but i am sure that you could live in or near to . Inside is possible because even if you have only a little of money you could find an appartment but not something big and wonderful but necessaries with beautiful views and sceneries .

It depends on what's your job and your way of living, just as anywhere else in the world...
One may think the sun is free : it is not, they say here. But the area is filled with beautiful locations and usually very sunny.
If you want to move and live and stay in France, you got to find a job first then the Administration wants you to learn and to speak french fluently in less than two years.
The best way for a foreigner to get infos is to check a french consulate.
