They do it because they can, that is obvious. But an illegal wouldn't have so much over a legal if it weren't for all the regulations, rules and taxes surrounding employment. We need to get rid of a great deal of the regulations and taxes and restore the 20% tariff across the board. We can make our country competitive again.

That isn't true. The only reason the illegal alien can work for 4 an hour is because they don't pay any taxes. The equivalent wage for an American to have 4/hr in spending power after taxes is to earn over 7/hr.

@subuey The minimum wage hasn't been 3.35 an hour since I was in high school in the 80's. My first job was at a supermarket earning 3.35/hr and I had to pay union dues (to making minimum wage).

The so called illegals can't pay taxes when they aren't even legal so this argument is ilogical to begin with. If the argument is that they don't wanna pay taxes, then why not just legalize them and find out? Uh, I bet that isn't even the issue, I bet it's more a racial issue than anything else. Good job by Peter Schiff of trying to educate this mis-informed man, but since he has his bias well instilled inside him, he wouldn't change his tune. Too bad.

Tourists do pay taxes. They pay sales tax on hotel stay, some pay toll boths, hire taxi drivers, etc. This is the only reason Florida doesn't charge state income tax.

Tourists spend their money here and have to pay higher VAT and sales tax than americans. Google it. Also they pay for medical insurance when they visit country. illegals can get ER treatment for free.
