I was just a little too young back in 1977 to go to the cinema to see the film Saturday Night Fever because then it was considered only suitable for adults but that Bee Gees dance music is timeless, such great melodies and controlled harmonies.

Listening to it today it brings back great memories of my teenage youth when i was STAYING ALIVE.

Back in 1977 when Saturday Night Fever was released it was selling more than 1 million albums every week so much so that other record companies not associated with the Bee Gees were asked to press the album just to keep up with the intense demand for the album.

No performing group alive today could record an album that was as successful as Saturday Night Fever.

Record sales ensured it went Triple Platingum and beyond.

Only M Jacksons Thriller has sold more copies over the years.
