Wow, I just saw this for the first time (65 years after it was made) and I thought it was a very young Michael Douglas, until I figured out how old this movie was and did the match. It's actually a very young Kirk Douglas! I'm amazed at how similar Michael Douglas looks like his father at comparable ages! I think film is one of the best ways to remember history even with fiction as it captures styles, mannerisms and speech from back then!

Imagine, the police actually did their job instead of arresting people for homophobia... and this aunt what an utterly horrible figure she was. Those types of disgusting snobs - based on class - were, unfortunately so prevalent in those times.
