Kyle Bennett, a student at Covington NEMSA, happened to see a picture from 1991 of William Shatner, then host of Rescue 911, on our timeline at the Academy. Kyle then tells the story of how he was on a Rescue 911 re-enactment when he was just 17 months old because he almost died after being bitten by a cottonmouth. Acadian Ambulance didnt cover St. Tammany Parish 20 years ago, but after a little research it was found that the medic who responded now works for Acadian and has for the last nine years—Paramedic George Schwindling.
I agree Shatner is still with us! i think he is great! would love to see a show like this! Good Luck and God Bless you Kyle~~

Awe..That was very touching and that another good reason that "Rescue 911" should be brought back to T.V so it can inspire more young people to become great things! I am glad that Kyle got to meat his rescuers 18 years later!

This is a great example of a "where are they now video" where we can see whatever happened to these 911 victims..
Way to go Kyle!
