Ryuichi Sakamoto - 'Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence' on Piano

Here is my attempt at the classic Sakamoto track, 'Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence'. The original is an electronic piece from the 1983 film of the same name. A vocal version with David Sylvian was also released entitled 'Forbidden Colors' ('Colours' in the UK).

This version, however was learned from the piano sheet music of Sakamoto's own arrangement. A trio version of this and an orchestral version of 'Forbidden Colors' also exist and I recommend them highly!

There is also a dance remix of the theme, entitled "Heart of Asia" which is by a group called Watergate. It was through that track that I found the original.

There are a couple of mistakes, I know, but I vowed to use the first take, so that's what you are watching, take one! So I think I did okay in that light.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me asking for clarification, but this version was learned from sheet music that was Sakamoto's own arrangement? As in, released sheet music?

@Chuushiri36 Yes, it's from the official sheet music, however, i might have played a few wrong notes, or incorrect chord voicings
