the SW was taking off on 24L as instructed and the Asiana 747 was cleared to land 24R but lined up on 24L on final.

@dominodash21 24R is the normal landing runway and 24L is the normal takeoff runway. they do switch from time to time

No the Releifed controller cleared him for 24L, the new controller though he was landing at 24R so he cleared SWA440 for 24L when he shoulda been on 24R, it was the new air traffic controllers fault
